I started my trading journey in 2021, full of excitement and ambition. Like many beginners, I initially jumped into intraday stock trading. Sometimes I made profits, but most of the time, I faced losses. It didn’t take long for me to realize that trading without proper knowledge is like sailing in a storm without a compass.
My Journey Through Futures & Options
After intraday trading, I explored Futures & Options (F&O). At first, I made quick profits, which gave me a false sense of confidence. But soon, the reality hit hard — F&O is extremely risky if you don’t have the right strategy and discipline. I ended up losing all my trading capital during this phase.
This failure became a turning point. Instead of giving up, I decided to learn F&O strategies systematically. I realized that without understanding risk management, market psychology, and proper strategy, it’s impossible to survive in this game.
Exploring Commodity and Currency Trading
Alongside F&O, I ventured into Commodity and Currency trading. Among all instruments, my best experience was with USDINR (currency pair). I not only regained my lost capital but also made consistent profits. Unfortunately, in 2024, the government stopped currency pair trading for retail traders like me, which forced me to shift my focus again.
Investments and Crypto Trading
With some of my profits, I invested in stocks and NiftyBees for long-term wealth creation. Currently, I am actively trading in cryptocurrency, and my experience so far has been very positive. The crypto market has its own challenges, but with the right strategies, I have managed to stay profitable.
My Biggest Realization: Learning is the Key
Through all these phases, I learned one golden rule:
If you learn today, you will earn tomorrow.
There is no shortcut to success in trading. Every instrument — be it stocks, F&O, commodities, currencies, or crypto — requires continuous learning, practice, and patience.
